Conference Theme
Legislating in a Changing World

The Fullerton Hotel overlooking the Marina Reservoir.
The Conference theme is “Legislating in a Changing World”, where the Conference hopes to elicit thoughtful discussions on how legislative drafters can meet the challenges of an evolving legal and socio-political landscape while upholding core drafting principles and practices.
As technology advances and the needs and priorities of societies change, so too must the laws and the law-making process. Legislative drafters must now address issues such as how to ensure technology-neutral laws in the era of digital governance and how to best leverage on AI and other technologies in legislative drafting.
To stay relevant, legislative drafters will have to equip themselves with the right skillsets and values so that they can effectively discharge their duties as guardians of the statute book.
We look forward to delegates from drafting offices across the Commonwealth sharing their valuable experience and insights.
Details on the Call for Papers will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
