The standard voltage is 230 V, and the frequency is 50 Hz. The power plugs and sockets are type G — the same as those in the UK.

Tipping

While tipping is not customary in Singapore, you may wish to do so if you experience good service.

Advisory on vapes

The purchase, possession or use of e-vaporisers ("vapes"), including e-vaporiser products, is illegal in Singapore, and offenders will face penalties including composition fines or prosecution. Additionally, visitors caught purchasing, possessing, or using e-vaporisers laced with drugs such as etomidate (“K-pods”) may be refused entry or banned from re-entry to Singapore.
