Public Transport
Public transport options in Singapore
Efficient. Convenient. Connected. These are the hallmarks of Singapore’s public transport system.

MRT and buses
Utilised by millions of passengers daily, the Mass Rapid Transit ("MRT") rail system is complemented by a public bus network that covers almost every part of Singapore. This extensive and integrated network helps you get around with ease and keeps Singapore moving as a convenient business hub to live and work in.
You can download the MyTransport.SG app (iOS | Android) for handy information on train operating times, station exits, public bus services and bus arrival times.
You can also download the Singapore MRT Map, which offers a comprehensive overview of the MRT system, from the Land Transport Authority website.

Taxis and private hire cars
Taxis and private hire cars offer convenience and comfort.
The safest way to hail a taxi or alight from one is to do so at designated taxi stands, taxi stops and driveways of buildings. Outside the CBD, you may also hail a taxi along the road. Taxis are metered, and surcharges may vary with timing, route and choice of service used. To get a rough idea of the final fare, check with the driver on the surcharges and ask for a receipt at the end of the trip.
You can book a private hire car anytime via local apps. Options available include ComfortDelGro, Grab, Gojek, Ryde and TADA.
